Grant Awarded to Zimbabwe 🇿🇼

Hugely honoured to be awarded The Business Council for African grant, through the enormous weight of the Britain Zimbabwe Society and our charity, ZHTS.

Chido and I threw our hats into a well of African applicants, tough competition, dragon’s den stuff and in the end BCA kindly awarded us, two Zimbabwean women who are passionate about mental health and sexual reproductive health beyond measure.

The grant allows us to scale up our workshops, we got to go deeper into rural communities and share experiences whilst also developing a training manual to ensure sustainability.

I am super thrilled to working with Chido Dziva Chikwari and a host of other foot solders who are committed to the cause.

This grant is bigger than us, it’s about Zimbabwe, supporting our health care system at a time of great need, it’s about Zimbabwean women in global health, and the story of diaspora impact.

Chido and I are indebted to the BZS committee for standing tall with this grant, thank you to Dr Knox Chitiyo for believing in us, to the lovely Margeret Lin, Pat Brickhill, Simukai Chigudu, Diana Jeater, Julius Mugwagwa, thank you so much.
